Welcome to NEEWER Home! When you begin using this product and/or service, please ensure you are an adult (18 years or older). When you use our products and/or services, we may collect and use information about you. We take the protection of user privacy and personal information very seriously. We truly understand the importance of your personal information, and we will spare no effort to ensure its security and reliability. Therefore, we promise:
I) We will disclose the different types of information we collect and how we use that information.
II) Except at your request or to provide NEEWER Home services, we will seek your permission (including your permission in the NEEWER Home User Agreement) before sharing your personal information with third parties, and we will only do so when we are confident that they will provide you with the additional services you prefer.
III) We will use top-of-the-line data security tools to safeguard your data and protect NEEWER Home products from unauthorized access.
This policy aims to explain to you how we collect, use, store, share, and transfer your personal information when you use our products and/or services, and the methods we provide for you to access, update, delete, and protect this information. Please read this policy carefully before accessing NEEWER Home or using our products or services to ensure you understand our rules for processing your personal information. If you do not agree to this policy or any part of the User Agreement, please stop accessing or using our services. Accessing NEEWER Home or using our services indicates your acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of Application
This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") applies to the smart device control and management products and/or services provided to you by Shenzhen NEEWER Technology Co., Ltd. and its related companies or subsidiaries (hereinafter collectively referred to as "we"), and explains how your personal information is collected, used, shared and processed when you visit NEEWER Home or use other services provided by NEEWER Home operators, including any written or electronic communications and purchases made (collectively, the "Services"), and your rights and choices related to this information.
Please note that, in addition to NEEWER Home, we may also provide you with products and/or services related to the control and management of smart devices and their extended functions through our applications or website, if needed. If a particular product or/or service we offer has a separate privacy policy, or if its user agreement contains specific provisions, the privacy policy or user agreement for that product or/or service shall prevail. Any content not covered by the privacy policy or user agreement for that product or/or service shall be governed by the terms of this policy. If our affiliates publish separate privacy policies, those policies shall prevail. If our affiliates offer products and/or services that use our products and/or services (e.g., logging in using a NEEWER Home platform account) without a separate privacy policy, this privacy policy automatically applies to those products and/or services.
2. How we collect and use your personal information
Personal information refers to various information recorded electronically or otherwise that can identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a specific natural person, either alone or in combination with other information, except for information that has been anonymized.
The definition of personal information (which may be used interchangeably with "personal data" in this document) depends on your place of residence. According to this Privacy Policy, only the definitions applicable in your country/region apply to you.
Based on the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity, we will only collect and use your personal information that you voluntarily provide during or as a result of using the products and/or services, as well as your relevant personal information obtained from third parties, for the purposes stipulated in this policy. If we intend to use your personal information for purposes other than those stipulated in this policy, or to use information collected for a specific purpose for other purposes, we will inform you in a reasonable manner and seek your consent again before using it. Your consent may be required to continue using the relevant services; if you refuse, it may affect the normal use of some functions.
2.1 We provide you with the following core functional services
(1) Account registration, login , cancellation and authentication
To use the NEEWER Home service and manage your smart devices, we need to collect the following information: user account ID, nickname, email address, profile picture, gender, country, user profile picture, and login mobile phone model. Your email address and password are considered sensitive personal information, and this information is collected to verify your identity and gain access to the NEEWER Home server.
We will use your personal information as follows: The NEEWER Home account username and login password you enter will be encrypted and transmitted to the NEEWER Home account server for login authentication. This information will not be stored locally in the app or on the server.
If you do not provide this information or are not logged into your NEEWER Home account, you will not be able to use some NEEWER Home services. After logging into your NEEWER Home account, NEEWER Home will automatically retrieve your account nickname and avatar and display them on the application page.
Common account cancellation methods: The app provides a cancellation button. Go to your profile - Settings - Cancel Account, enter your email address to obtain a verification code, and after verifying your identity, click the Cancel Account button to cancel your account.
(2) Intelligent device management
To enable smart device binding, control, and management, we need to collect the following information: scene information, device information ( including device name, model, version, identifier , MAC address, operating status , control usage records , IMEI, OAID, IMSI, SUPI, SUCI), location, contacts, call logs, calendar, SMS messages, phone number, images, audio/video, software installation list , groups and favorites , Wi-Fi BSSID, Wi-Fi SSID , AndroidID, software installation list, user information (clipboard) , custom attributes, parameter settings, and business events. The purpose of collecting this information is to bind, control, and manage smart devices, set device attributes and parameters, view device operating status and history, statistically analyze, review, and study the operational status of devices and services, and improve the service quality of smart devices. This information will be encrypted and stored on the server. The NEEWER Home App will retrieve data from the server and display it on the device page with your authorization.
To discover and connect to Wi-Fi-enabled smart devices, NEEWER Home needs to access your phone's location, a list of Wi-Fi networks, and the Wi-Fi network identifier and password you entered . The Wi-Fi password is considered sensitive personal information, and this information is collected to discover nearby smart devices and connect them to Wi-Fi networks. This information is used locally only and will not be uploaded to a server.
If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to use NEEWER Home's device discovery, binding, control, and management features.
(3) Display and search of product/service information
In order to display products or services to you, we collect your device information ( including device name, device model, MAC address and IMEI, device identifier, hardware and software characteristics such as a list of mobile applications, operating system and application version, language settings, resolution, service provider network ID (PLMN)), device location information (including your authorized GPS location information, WLAN access point, Bluetooth and base station sensor information) and browser type , so as to categorize the corresponding products or services to the interface suitable for your device.
Failure to provide this information may diminish your experience at NEEWER Home.
To provide you with search history, browsing history, favorite items, shopping cart, or order product/service display services, we will collect your browsing data, search history, favorites history, follow history, added items to cart, and order information .
( 4 ) Problem feedback and rapid communication
To facilitate feedback on NEEWER Home service issues, we need to collect the following information from you: APP and device log information, APP software version, firmware version, your contact information and problem description, your communication records with us, and problem images and videos . The APP and device log information includes device status, sensor data, device operation records, and device identifier . The purpose of collecting this information is to analyze and pinpoint the cause of the problem.
We will use your personal information as follows: solely for locating and resolving submitted issues or for quick communication; we will not display your personal information or push commercial advertisements.
If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to effectively locate the problem from your feedback, and you will not be able to resolve the problem in a timely manner and enjoy fast exchange service.
2.2 Providing you with additional services
In order for NEEWER Home to provide additional services, we need to collect the following information from you: device identifier, user identifier, device type, model and manufacturer, mobile device operating system and model .
If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to use the additional services of NEEWER Home.
3. Device permission access
Location Permissions: To enable NEWER Home to connect to smart devices, we need to access the system's WLAN and Bluetooth device lists . According to Android's permission request principles, location permission is required to read these lists. To enable real-time broadcast reception for certain devices, location permission is also required to read broadcast data and parse the data collected by sensors.
Camera Permissions : To use camera color selection, smart color selection, issue feedback, quick communication, and AI-generated custom lighting effects in NEEWER Home, you need to grant camera and video recording permissions.
Storage Permissions : To use Camera Color Selection, Smart Color Selection, Issue Feedback, and Quick Communication in NEWEWER Home, you need to grant this permission to read files stored on your device.
In addition to the permissions mentioned above, Bluetooth needs to be enabled when using devices with Bluetooth; otherwise, the connection will fail. You can turn off Bluetooth through the system "Settings".
You can manage these permissions by accessing the system's "Settings" page.
4. Information sharing
We may share your personal information with the following types of third-party service providers. We strive to ensure that such third-party service providers use your data only for the prescribed purposes in accordance with our written instructions and control such use to the extent necessary.
4.1 Data sharing of your single-device management capabilities provided to third-party service platforms
When you link your NEEWER Home account to a third-party service platform (Alexa, Google Assistant ) and authorize the platform to manage your smart devices, we need to provide the platform with the following information: device identifier, device hardware information, device operating status, custom attributes, parameter settings, business events, and device control. The personal information provided to the third-party service platform is subject to its privacy policy; please refer to the third-party service platform's privacy policy for details. Furthermore, before using this function, you must confirm that you have read and agreed to the user agreement and related privacy policies of the third-party ecosystem service platform. Your refusal to provide this type of information will prevent you from using the aforementioned third-party services normally, but will not affect your use of other NEEWER Home functions.
4.2 Data sharing of information systems and software services
NEEWER Home may share your personal information with IT system and software providers that cooperate with NEEWER Home for reasons such as using website hosting services (including cloud storage), mobile application or software optimization services, customer relationship management software, email services or system maintenance services. If you refuse to provide such information, it will hinder the normal operation of NEEWER Home.
4.3 Data sharing for legal reasons
We may share personal data as needed to: (I) comply with applicable laws or respond to, investigate or participate in valid legal proceedings and litigation, including those by law enforcement or government agencies. (II) enforce or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service or policies. (III) detect, prevent or investigate potential fraud, abuse or security issues, including threats to the public. (IV) fulfill our commitments to corporate and social responsibility. (V) protect our rights and property as well as the rights and property of our customers. (VI) resolve disputes and perform agreements.
4.4 Enterprise Transaction Data Sharing
In the event of any changes to our company structure ( including mergers, divestitures, restructurings, reorganizations, dissolutions, or the sale or transfer of certain assets ) , we may disclose personal information (including account information) or all of our assets to buyers, potential buyers, subsidiaries, or other successors of the company, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceedings. In such cases, the personal information we hold concerning our service users constitutes a transfer of assets. You acknowledge and agree that we have the right to transfer or distribute your personal information without obtaining your additional consent. Your continued use of the service constitutes unconditional acceptance of such changes, and you may not use this as grounds for claims or termination of the agreement.
4.5 Data sharing based on your consent
We may disclose your personal information for any purpose with your consent.
5. Information Security and Storage
NEEWER Home cares about your information security and employs physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to help maintain the integrity and security of all information we collect and share with service providers. The internet is not an absolutely secure environment. You must ensure your passwords are complex (including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters), update them regularly, and accept the account security risks resulting from password leaks or weak passwords. We are not liable for losses caused by user negligence. We also strongly recommend that you do not share your passwords with others or reuse passwords you have used on other websites or applications on our services, as this increases the likelihood of becoming a victim of hacking or other malicious cyberattacks. If you believe your account or personal data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
To provide a global service, if such transmissions are prohibited in your jurisdiction when you access or use our services, you should immediately cease using the service, and we will not be liable for any consequences arising therefrom. If you require more detailed information about these transmissions and the safeguards we take to facilitate them, please contact us immediately.
Furthermore, we cannot guarantee 100% system security; no security system is invincible. We are not liable for data breaches caused by force majeure (such as hacker attacks or system failures). In the event of a personal information security incident, we will inform you in accordance with legal requirements: the basic situation and possible impact of the security incident, the measures we have taken or will take, suggestions for you to prevent and mitigate risks, and remedial measures you can take yourself. We will inform you of the relevant circumstances of the incident via email, SMS, push notifications, etc. When it is difficult to notify each individual data subject, we will take reasonable and effective measures to issue a public announcement. In addition, we will also report the handling of personal information security incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
6. Your rights as a data subject
Under applicable law, you have certain rights related to your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, modification, deletion, and transfer of your personal information to other service providers, as well as the right to refuse the use of your data for a specific purpose. To make it easier for you to exercise these rights when using NEEWER Home, we have provided corresponding operation settings in the product design. You can refer to the following guidelines for operation.
6.1 Accessing Personal Information
You can view the running status and history of the bound devices at any time in the device list of NEEWER Home, and view device information, including device name, MAC address, and device model information, on the "Device Settings" page.
You can access "My Profile" at any time, click on your account avatar, and be redirected to the "Personal Information" page to view your personal information.
6.2 Deleting Personal Information
You can go to the "Device Settings" page of NEEWER Home at any time and delete the devices you have bound by clicking the "Delete Device" button, and clear the device information stored locally and on the server of NEEWER Home.
You can uninstall NEEWER Home, request account cancellation, or delete your NEEWER Home data at any time to clear the data stored locally on your NEEWER Home account. Furthermore, unless otherwise stipulated by law, all personal information will be deleted or anonymized. We only delete personally identifiable data. Anonymized, aggregated, or backed-up data may not be completely deleted due to technical limitations; you understand this and waive our liability for such deletion.
6.3 Update Personal Information
You can set device operating parameters and change device information at any time on the "Device Settings" page of NEEWER Home.
You can go to "My Account" at any time, click on your account avatar, and be redirected to the "Personal Information" page to change your personal information.
6.4 Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information at any time, if permitted by applicable law. However, withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any processing we conducted based on your consent prior to the withdrawal.
7. Cookies and similar tracking technologies
7.1 Cookie
A cookie is a small text file sent to or accessed by your web browser or computer's hard drive. Cookies typically contain the domain name from which the cookie originated (Internet location), the cookie's "lifetime" (i.e., expiration time), and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier. Cookies may also contain information about your device, such as user settings, browsing history, and activity while using services.
If you clear your cookies, you will need to change your settings the next time you visit our website. Please note that some of our services require cookies. Disabling cookies may affect some or all of your ability to use these services.
Our service uses the following cookies:

7.3 Do Not Track
Except as required by law, we do not commit to complying with the “Do Not Track” signal in your browser, as complying with that signal would prevent most of the tracking and disclosures described herein.
8. Other notices and disclaimers concerning user interests
Without your prior consent, we have never and will never share, disclose, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to other companies for the promotion of their products or services, except where you authorize us to share your personal information in accordance with this policy. We have never and will never “sell” your personal information.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If such changes would materially infringe upon your rights and interests under this Privacy Policy, we will notify you in a prominent location on the page before the changes take effect. You are obligated to check for policy changes regularly, and your continued use of the service constitutes unconditional acceptance of all terms, and you may not assert your rights on the grounds that you have not read the updates. If you refuse to accept, you should immediately stop using the service. If the privacy protection guidelines for specific products and services change regarding the purpose of processing, processing methods, types of personal information, etc., we will seek your consent again.
You have the right to refuse to agree to updates to this Privacy Policy, but you also understand that if you refuse our collection and processing of your personal information as necessary to provide updated services or features, we may not be able to provide you with the updated services or features, or the updated services may not achieve their intended effect.
